It's so amazing to hear about my colleague who gave up his postgraduate studies to come into corporate world. He gave his speech. Same as what we discuss with my ex cols. U do research because of passion. If you want to get money, do something else.

He mentioned about how poly students are cultivated to bloom their interest. So much that they get shroud by the intense cloud of curiousity n end up being trap by interest. Of a handful or ppl fr poly, most of them would go all their way to phD. Interest, passion blah blah blah.

How true. Weeks into my new job, I'm still a confused person in this figures world. To plan my work or even strategized my conversation. Being trapped 7.5 years in research world where I was not even allow to analyse results or being informed about the outcome kept me away fr what's vital in the corporate world.

I'm still trying to learn how to settle in this new chair of mine.
