Pumping 3X during work kills.
The moment u reach the office, you rush into the lab to start doing work. You are worried about not working enough to compensate the pumping time.
The moment u are done with lab work, you rush into the office. You grab whatever you can with your less painful hand and walk as fast as you could to the cubicle.
The moment u enter the cubicle, you rush to set up so that you can start pumping.
The moment u start pumping, you spontaneously massage and compress your breasts to get as much milk out as possible. Still I need 15 mins to pump to maintain supply.
The moment u are done with pumping, u rush to storage the milk in bags and out to the basin.
The moment u reach the basin, you use your speedy movements to undo the pumps part, soap them, rinse them.
The moment u step out of the toilet, you walk as fast as your leg could carry you to the office to get hot water for rinising the parts.
The moment u are done with rinsing, u quickly put all the parts together for the next use and rush into the lab to see if my team mates are done.
The cycle repeats for each pump session, everyday.
The moment u knock off, u rush to the mrt station to catch the earliest trip home. U call home to check what is the next feeding time. U wouldn't want to miss that latching on session.
The moment u reach home, u rush to spend time with Ryker. If he's sleeping, u buy yrself sometime to gobble down your dinner coz he usually wakes up when u are eating.
The moment u are done with feeding, u tried as fast as possible to change the bird cages and spend some cage out time with my FIDs.
The moment u are done with the feathered friends, u asked for help to babysit Ryker so that u could bath.
The moment u are done with bathing, u quickly hop into the bed with Ryker to nurse him to sleep.
The moment he sleeps, u try to pump your breasts if they are not empty.
The moment u are done with pumping, u wash up the pumps and sterilise them for tomorrow.
The moment u are done with the sterilization, u jumped into bed and try to fall asleep as fast as possible.
In between the sleeping moments, u wake up on and off to breastfeed the baby.
The moment u are done with yr sleep, u rush to bath and pump milk then out for work....
The cycle repeats in the office.
Pumping occupied most of my time. But it's the best gift a mother can give to her baby.
