Today, we united our fellow Singapore kiasu spirit to join in the offer Shell threw for National Day. A 44cents off per litre for all petrol! That was a major discount considering the recent hike in petrol prices. We initially tot it was from 3 to 4pm but the absence of crowd in the kiosk made us wonder. Check the sms again, it was 4 to 5pm! Geez, i'm so cocked to get it wrong! So we ended up in TM courts to replace the spoilt blender for MuF veggie blending. Hub was the timekeeper, ensuring that we were not late.
We reached the stretch of road before turning out to the kiosk like 345pm. Silly hub said we were early so should just wait at the side first. Made sense to me, so we pulled over and waited..... till we saw a line of cars queuing up to the turn in front! Without further ado, we zoomed right up to join that line. To our horror, there were already 20 over cars in front of us!!
This picture didn't show the number of cars in front well. But the petrol kiosk was obviously no where to be seen in my position of queue. I was the driver of the day and i learnt that to prevent losers from cutting into the queue, it was best to drive near the lane marking. With that, any car from the right lane trying to cut in will jam that lane and get horn by oncoming traffic! Hiak! What i couldn't stand was those with luxury sedan cars trying to cut queue!! Hello!! If you own a BMW, why do u even nd that 44 cents?? Yida got really fed up with some sore losers that he got off the car and stood infront of those ppl, showing them his disgusted face plus signalling them to get lost. Those kns drivers would try their best to get in the queue when cars were coming out of the kiosk! Yida jus literally stood there and screwed them with one traffic controller fr the kiosk. Haha! I saw the traffic controller scolding one of the drivers!! Serve them right! Haha.
I had to be reaching the kiosk to take the queue! Still, it was worse than what it looked in the pic. Hub and I were guessing if those at the back get to reach the offer in time! We were good and considerate people. Haha, we went to the counter and get ready to pay once the pump light was done, speedily rushed to our car and drove off!

We spent 30 mins queuing and got slightly more than 10 bucks off! Tot it was worth it haha! Went back home to grind the veggie muffin has been missing for weeks! Then since his folks weren't around for dinner that day, we whipped up some simple meals out of cans. Haha.... sphagetti!
It was cabonara but i think too much 'liao' can't see the sauce. Tsk tsk!
Hubs was enjoyed the national day parade like some little kid!
I was very happy today though. No fanciful dinner, no shopping, not much money spending activity but i am still happy! I like it when i can have the whole house to ourselves.
Time flies. I'm literally blogging Yida as hubs liao. On this day 9 years ago, my maternal grandmother passed away too. She was still missed by everyone in the family alot.
