I came home after the weekends to find that my birds' tray were almost empty, esp FruiTy's. It was so obvious they were very hungry. I nicely probed my mum for it and she told me if FruiTy was given too much seeds, he would create a mess. Geez, it's akin to since you need to shit might as well dun eat. Anyway, i wasn't rude to her. It was a nice gesture of her to take care of my flock while i'm away. Their trays were topped up while i had my dinner.
I let them out right after the dinner. As usual, DaTing and Twinkle would do their lovey dovey thingy while FruiTy would be in his own world. The latter recently learnt how to fly to me even when i'm out of the room. However, his flight that very day wasn't completed. He stopped half way before reaching me. I went and help him over to me. He still seemed very alert and active, thus i wasn't reactive towards it. I left the three of them in my room for a while and returned to a big shock. The walls on my room were spattered with yellowish puke with undigested seeds on it. My very first instinct was to check Twinkle. I smelled his beak, checked his weight. All normal. Then i turned to FruiTy and it was him! He bobbed and shook his head the very next moment and added on to the 'paint' on my walls. Geez! I was worried sick! I took out my weighing machine and found out that he was lighter than Twinkle! (He is always heavier than my Twinkle). Argh, i quickly made some ACV and get him to drink. He repeated his actions to vomit. The flustered me tried probiotics next, hoping for an immediate miracle. I got back the same thing though. Argh.... I dug my drawer and recalled my No. 7 Bach remedy gobules. Dissolved in water and gave it to him. I decided to let him had that homeopathic water for the rest of the night even though there wasn't much improvements.
His repeated regurgitations reminded me of the time when Twinkle almost died. I suddenly remembered that i had learnt reiki and could gave him some healing energy. Initially, he was resistant to it, kept running away from my hands. Despite the puking, he could still climb here and there. This guy was still trying to act tough i thought. Anyway, i moved him onto my bed and started cupping him so that i can start a reiki session. I'm glad that he stayed still after receiving some energy. As he stopped struggling, i moved my hands away from him while maintaining him in the energy field. After a while, he started to doze off. I was truely amazed. Animals wouldn't lie about reiki. My mum and yida were both shocked to see that. With a 30 mins reiki session, there were still bouts of bobbing. To console myself, i choose to believe that the healing energy would take time to work. Thus, i put him immediately into hospital cage under the lamp. I don't want him to spend energy on climbing here and there. He actually stopped bobbing after putting him into the hospital cage. I put in seeds and some water which he took. His bright eyes and activeness seemed to indicate that he was alright. Well, i don't wan to risk so he spent his night in that small little cage.

He was receiving Reiki then. His eyes were half close prior to the appearance of the camera. And yes, a lovebird stood there for 30mins not moving.
I didn't rest well that night. I even dreamt that i had to bring him to vet the next morning. My sleeping position was such that i could have a good view of him. To such an extent that i scolded Yida for blocking my view. I woke up extremely early the next morning to check on him.
I was totally glad to find him well and up, chirpy as well. PHEW! I went to work with a peace of mind but kept calling mum on updates. I decided that he was well when i returned from work to take his weight. His full abled flight to me ensured that he has become the old fiesty fruity again. It was such a great scare!
I would need to go back on weekends to make sure that birds were well taken care of.
