I am supposed to be working on my conference report. But was too not motivated to do anything on an unusally free workday. So let me do an update of my youngest FiD.
The previous cage irritated me alot as i frequently got my hand stucked in there while doing adjustment for the toys or changing the bedding. The previous cage was also allowing everything to fall out. Since i bought the bird feeder in US, i decided to revamp the entire set up. I quickly dropped by Song after work (2 days after touching down in Sg) and got this gorgeous cage. Some ppl may not like those black bars but i tot it's not too bad. Haha. I spent the whole evening and night deciding what's best for her. Oh, i also bought the platform (wrapped in tissue paper in the pic) from US for her
This is what i called spacious! At the time of this pic there was only one toy. Now i think the number have been increased to like 4?
Saw what FruiTy is eating from? It was a seed feeder imported by me from SD haha!
This is how it looked when mounted on the cage.
The Feeder. The bird seed feeder design is flawed. I hate it when i need to remove the tube from the holder. I will get seeds spilled all over. It's antagonizing. And also, due to the gaps in between the feeder and the holder, seeds can find its way to the table. I rectify this problem by surrounding the circumference with blue tag. Don't worry, she can't reach the blue tag at all.
Before i went to SD, i almost wanted to shipped in this platform:
THank god i didn't. Coz i bought it at like USD$6 in SD. Muahahaha
Everything is fine now for FruiTy. She's quite a glutton, eats almost non stop. I like it this way hee. However, my mum recently refused to buy tissue paper but those serviette, claiming that it was too expensive to use it to lay the bedding. Me have no time to buy the tissue paper but to circum to using the rough serviette. And recently, i discover a bruise or something not right about FruiTy's stump. At the joint of the stump, there is a flatten red spot. Suzanna said it might be a bruise. I thought it would be more likely an abrasion due to the rough surface.
Can you see it? I feel so bad now. I have removed all serviettes in the cage but lay tissue paper over the towel. Maybe it was painful that she prefer to stand on the grills? Argh!! I will buy my own supply of tissue paper if need be.
How is FruiTy getting along with DaTing and Twinkle?
DaTing continues to bully FruiTy while FruiTy continues to bully Twinkle. My poor Twinkle. Oh he's also putting on weight and starting to like sprouts. Thank god!
