I heard a horrendous news that happened to a Jack Russel Terrier. He was the sweetest dog ever. If you were to give him a toy, he would cherish it and bring it whereever he goes. He was co-owned by my colleague n his friend. On Wednesday, my colleague called me and gave me a shock. His friend house was on fire. Fierce fire. And yes, his dog died. When the police gave red light to retrieve the body due to incomplete investigation, his friend went into fits. =( Such a tragic thing to happen so near Christmas.

Today, i heard more information from my colleauge. To my horror, there was chance that the dog could survive! When the fire fighters came, the dog was actually barking behind the main door. They were afraid that the back draft would cause the fire to rush out towards them. So they didn't open the door and there goes the lovely Fido. =****( Come on, if it was a human they would do it. The body of the dog was found under the piano. The look of agony remained on the charred face. Can you imagine how frighten he was? How frantic and helpless he was? We are all hoping that the smoke actually knock out the dog before burning to death. =********(

Tears swelled up in my eyes when my colleague continued the story. He had mustered his courage to retrieve the body and cremate it. To dog owners out there, please switch OFF ALL power sockets completely before leaving the house. It is such a painful way to lose someone you loved.
