As days go by, i slowly got used to seeing an one leg birdie. FruiTy's wound is slowly healing. The big red spot is still getting smaller. Thanks to the aloe plant Suzanna gave, i used it ocassionally hoping it can be soothing for the wound. Since she's young, i am trying to open her to more types of food. I learnt my lesson from picky Twinkle. lol. So far she's eating watever i gave with my fingers. She has her beak on sprouts- green beans, green lentils, quinoa, millet, sunflower, pumpkin seeds; butterhead lettuce; broccoli; wheatgrass and yellow capsicum.
Oh Oh! The most exciting thing about having FruiTy was i HAVE to bring her to work. The first day i had her, i only handfed her once. Like i mentioned before, i had a shock. She was begging like don't know what and was weighing only 39g (with empty crop). I tot Twinkle was light at 43g. =x Thus, i decided to feed her 3 times a day. With that it was a MUST to bring her. I went to shop at Pet lovers and got a carrier of decent size. It was small enough to put into my biggest bag.

There! This was how it looked like in my bag. Did you see something poking out of the sleeping tent?
Let's have a closer look:

See? A little black beak there?
And there she is!

Sticking her head out to check out what i am doing while travelling. She wasn't too happy for the first time coz she was hiding in the sleeping tent the whole time. As days got by, she got more curious.
Suzanna was my baby sitter in the office while i spent most of the working hours in the lab. She was kind enough to give FruiTy some Reiki, brought blueberries for her and changed her bedding most of the time. =)

FruiTy receiving Reiki from Suzanna. I have read about this form of healing energy before in some obedience book for dogs. It was even more believable when she tried on me. I could feel the spot aching after receiving reiki. FruiTy got really nervous and was shivering with all my colleagues going ga ga over her. But the reiki immediately calm her down and she got relaxed and slept.
First few days in the office, she was quietly hiding in her sleeping tent. Only comes out when feeding. After feeding i would gave her some adult food. This strange girl would only venture other food after she was crop full. As she grew up, she got noisy! She would make alot of noise to beg for food. I think i cannot bring her anymore next week already.

That's how she looked like in the carrier on my office table.

All ready to come out.

Eating the sprouts on my office table
I only bring her out to play during lunch time and after working hours. And she love to do this:

Hiding in my hair! Till now, she can still do that and sleep. lol There was this morning, she came out of the cage and tried flying to my blanket. She dropped on the floor and after i picked her up, she slept in with me in my hair. lol

Random pics after a feed.
And she love to chatter and chatter till she goes into deep sleep. It ranged from very soft to loud with her eyes closed!!
