I have been hugging this tortoise soft toy every night at my place. It was a gift bought by my then-quite-steady-ex-boyfriend 5 years ago. The reason why i am still keeping it was the unique material. I do have sensitive nose and would sneeze if my soft toy gets to furry. This tortoise was made of towel-like material and was really really very nice to hug. Yida always hate it when i have to hug the toy rather than him to sleep. How lame! He would throw the tortoise on the floor before we sleep. He would alway have things to complain about it like how smelly, dirty it is. Seriously, i love love the soft toy. He has been sourcing around for another one with same material. Whenever we go shopping, he would drag me into the shop which sells soft toy. I dreaded the fact that i need to throw the tortoise away. Luckily, the another one was never seen.
Since he was so into replacing it, i gave in......... He finally got this very similiar material soft toy which we saw yesterday at 'More than words'. We saw a 30cm one first, then asked for the slightly bigger one. Since the shop didn't have that size, we reserved it at the other branch. The moment we walked pass the window of the shop, Yida saw the biggest one. Quite ex leh... $75 ... i said no nd to buy so big but he insisted. He said must be bigger than the one my ex bf gave. -_-" I seriously don't know if i should laugh or faint hahahhaha.
This is my old smelly tortoise. Since he hate it so much, i asked him to pose with it. And there you go... the hatred
The new soft toy is a pig which signifies us (we are both borned in the year of pig). This pig is huge isn't it?? I told Yida the pig has his waistline so every night it can represent him. Hahaha
I always grow feelings towards the things i have. To think that the tortoise will be thrown away soon pains me. SOb sob....... Goodbye my dear tortoise which slept with me every night for the last 5 years. It is still a very perfect soft toy, no holes till now....

But then the pig looks so much more huggable lah.
