My handphone rang at 9 plus am on a Saturday morning. It wasn't Yida but Ben, the guy who helped me most during my chemistry module. The first thing i spoke was "Why you call me?" Haha i know it sound rude and abrupt but i just woke up... pardon me. Haha Ben replied,"You wun believe this, there's a parrot walking on my window." Without hestitaion, i told him to get it. He asked if i would keep it? Hmm, i told him i would put on forum to see who lost it or rehome it. Advise him to get a nut or something to lure it into the house and ask him send me a pic. I hopped out of my bed with excitement.
He did successfully got the bird into the room. I made my way there asap with my carrier, seeds and scissors. Upon my arrival, the bird was clinging onto the top part of the aircon window unit. It looked really frighten. With patience, i managed to got it step up to my finger but it would immediately jumped back to the grill.

Ben took this picture.
I tried a few times and decided to do something dramatic. By chance, i pulled its tail while it flew back to the grill. It SCREAMED and i got so nervous. I yelled at Ben to grab me a towel to wrap the bird. Yea, i was bitten but the bite was nothing compared to Dating's. I held the 'bird wrap' in my palm to calm it down. As its severe panting slowed down, i find its wing and pulled out. Ben followed my instruction to trim it. To prevent anymore stress, i put the bird immediately into the carrier.

(Have you guess what bird this is?)
The carrier immediately made the bird feel much secure. I let it out after awhile and it had actually recognise the carrier as its shelter. The bird still managed to take flight from the floor till the fan. I was quite puzzled. There wasn't any full flight feathers around and the bird looked too fat to fly. Hmm...

Looked fat ? It's a pale head rosella.

Mr Ben, the birdie saviour
We waited for Yida to arrive so that we could buy a bird cage at Song. The thought of whether i should clip the bird's flight feather and nails there kept coming in and out my mind. They were a bunch of hardcore birds handler. After choosing the cage, i told Song to be very gentle to the bird. Ironically, it took two old men to trim the wings and nails gently. The bird didn't even let out a squeak. I totally appreciate his gesture of my paranoidness. He jokingly asked if i put my bird on diet since i looked like i've been through dieting. Haha... While he was grabbing on to the bird, he asked me to feel the keel. I was really shocked to find that it was REAL skinny despite its fat look! GOSH!

This cage is exactly the same cage Twinkle is living in and only today i realised how big it was for Twinkle. Hahha. Its cage is quite empty now. Being an aviary bird, i am not sure if i would play toys. I also read that they are not cuddly birds n u may nv get to scratch its head.
We decided to put the bird at Yida's house for quarantine till someone claims it. After setting up the cage and area, i checked the forum for any replies to the thread. There were two PMs but weren't looking for the right breed. In order to let the bird settle in, it was left alone in the cage and we headed out to blade. It was already eating non stop then. When we came back, it was still feasting. It could have lost its way for several days i think.
We found some vomitant on the cage and wall the next morning. I was worried and wondered if it was sick. I had actually put in the probiotics on the very first day. Since Yida injured his knee during blading, i've got the chance to observe the bird too. The bird was on its feeding tray 90% of its time. And it does nothing except climbing around a little and eat. Only till just now that i realised it had great addiction to bread. It would jump off its perch to come find the bread in my palm. During its survival in the wild, i guessed it managed to live by seeking refuge from human. And they probably didn't know what to feed the bird......
We have decided to keep the bird and name it Bluie. Unless its true real owner come looking for it, if not it would be ours. It is generally a gentle bird which perched onto the finger spontaneously. Hope that it would bond to us better in time to come. It seemed to know windows are entrance to freedom too. (It could still fly despite flight feathers are down. Can you imagine how skinny it was?) Fortunately, it had already claim the cage its home liao.

So you know why it's called Bluie? My facebook pet is also called Bluie. Haha

It lost a few tail feathers. The current ones were really in bad shape. Poor bird.....
