I did a scary choice of changing my hair stylist today. Been very faithful to Angel for like 7, 8 years. Her prices increased tremendously nowadays, even getting more expensive than Reds. =x Did i mention i did my rebond with trim for $268 after 30% discount? I was so shocked by that incident. Now that my colour have overgrown, i looked around for alternatives. If i go to her, it would be at least a whooping $250 for dye and highlight without trim and treatment.

Remember i signed up a mani and pedi package at a place near my office? It has an attached salon too. Recently it had a promotion package on zonal highlights (means highlighting the top part of the hair) and dye and treatment. For my length (under bra strap), it was up for $148 nett. So today, i went for my appt.

Justine, the branch manager, did my hair. She gave me some suggestions which were really different from Angel. Angel always give me bright colours and loud highlights. I love loud highlights. But what Justine said made sense. I have been having almost the same type of tone for a long long time. Thus, changing a darker colour would definitely have an impact on my look. She gave three suggestions: dye my hair black with chilli red highlights, brown with blonde highlights or ash violet with blonde hairlights. I chose the last one. My hair got cut by her too! And i upgraded to a better treatment for $30!! It was called O3 treatment with many creams and my hair smelled super duper good after that! All for $212! To me, it was really cheap and i was quite happy with it. Although the base colour didn't came up to be ash violet due to my previous dye, but there was definitely a change for my image.


Go ahead and laugh! Coz i was laughing at myself when she was putting the thing on. Check out the steam coming out of my head. This was the O3 treatment.

After. Can't really see the colour difference from the pics. But it was really darker. I quite like my new fringe though it means blowing my fringe everyday to remove the parting. =)

Now that i have cheaper alternative, i wun have to always go back to her. But if i hop away from my job, then it's hard to go back to Justine. I do hate my management now.
