Part I:
On Monday, we decided to go for a movie, a long overdue date. But strangely, he wanted to meet me at TM instead of my workplace. Well, i tot he wanna be good son to stay at home for dinner. I'm fine with it coz i can go home to play with my feathered kids before going out again. He fixed the time at 830pm to meet up. By 830pm, i am still slacking at my place. Then he got abit work up which i purely don't understand. Luckily i got a hitch ride from Uncle J. Well since i was late, i am willing to meet him anywhere he was then. But he sounded strange. He demanded me to wait at the place i was as he was at ATM. I just walked toward the ATM while we were talking on the phone. I saw him with a small bouquet of flowers eagerly pressing the buttons on the machine. On instinct, i frantically ran toward the direction i came from, hoping that he didn't see me. Coz i didn't want to spoil his surprise and of course i acted surprised. HAHA. He saw me and passed me the flowers. Told me that's all for Vday on top of the movie. Then i was like uh? And kept reiterating the question, "Really that's it?" He assured me that that was all coz he had no money and i had class on the actual day (which i already told me the class was brought forword many weeks b4). I was taking his answer for real although half hoping he was lying.

Part II:
My intention for his Vday gift was to cook for him. You all know la, i sucked in kitchen and i tot for a long time to decide what to prepare. I knew he loved mushroom so i looked into that area. April helped me sourced out a recipe called Portobello mozzarella mushroom. I took half day leave on Wed to accompany my mum for her health review so i might as well make use of the remaining day to whip up that 'dish'. Although it seemed simple, but i had a hard time knowing the difference between broil and grilled. Haha, thanks to Ju, Jadey, Uncle J and April for helping me. So, broil is when you only switch on the coil from the top and set the temperature below 180 degrees celcius. Otherwise, the oven should have the broil function. Haha.. anyway it was rather expensive to buy all ingredients, almost 50 bucks.


First step was to marinate these portobellos in Italian dressing for more than 15 mins. I split my shrooms into two batch. First was to try out. But it end up that my second batch was marinated for more than 1hr, thus tasted better and those were for him. Tsk tsk.


Grilling the shrooms. Haha stupid me still tot that grilling need to have something like those bbq set up haha.. Now i know oven can be used. *smack my forehead* Anyway, i grilled the top of the mushroom first then e bottom for the first batch. (The pic is showing grilling the bottom of the shrooms) And realised that they appeared flater to hold the stuff which will be on them later. Thus i did vice versa and it turned up better.


The first batch of shrooms undergoing broiling. Bell pepper, cheese, marinara sauce, oregano and basils were sitting on the shrooms. It didn't turn up as well but my little cousins enjoyed eating them. Haha so consoling leh. I couldn't taste anything due to my severe flu thus all tasting was done by my family n the kids. I added more of the ingredients instead of the recipe instructions and turned up much better.


The second batch, ready in foil for him. The portobellos were indeed underneath! Trust me leh!
I donated one of my second batch for my cutie girls cousins. So yida had four as his Vday pressie.


Before he arrived at the carpark, i did up this and stuck it to the container cover.

He loved the shrooms. Be it whether he was lying or wat, i am really happy to see his reaction. He took one of them before we continued the journey back his place. Throughout, he was still relishing the taste in his mouth and kept telling me very very nice. Haha so touched and satisfied!

Part III:
The day itself, he did the worst blur cock thing ever. He took his dad's wallet instead of his. I was pissed of coz. It was almost time for work liao. I chased him off the bus to do the exchange while i continued my dreadful journey to work. This wasn't the first time his blurness overwhelmed me. It was many many many times. I just couldn't tolerate that.

I was feeling much better in the afternoon so i called him. He told me he was at school blah blha blah going to library then meet josh to get the waist leash and la la la la. All the conversations we exchanged truely show no sign of meeting up later. I was quite upset but still carried that small glimpse of hope. At around 5pm, i called him. He was just done with his hair cut and going for a bath. At that moment, i resigned to fate. I knew that wasn't anything later. I was SO sad. I told April how disappointed i was and consoled myself that going back to my feathered kids was more rewarding then expecting the unexpected. So sad.

5mins before knock off, he called me to inform that he finished his bath. LAME. Then he added here very windy.... LAME.... then say my workplace very windy. Wah!! You have no idea how i raise from the lowest ground to cloud nine. haha He borrowed his dad's van to fetch me for something later. There was a dinner later... HEEHEE... I was really only expecting a dinner on the actual day.


He brought me to BreWerkz at Kallang Indoor stadium. =) Was really delighted to have a dinner with him. Even if he bring me to eat mince meat noodle, i also happy. At least there was a dinner on Vday. At least i spent it with my valentine.


Us! Becoz i was so sian the day before as he kept saying dun have anything for Vday coz i got school (which i dun have!). It was freaky convincing that there was NOTHING intended. So i dressed sloppishly and dun even bother to put on any make up.


We had two soups and potato skins as appetizer.

We had apple crumbles for dessert. After we finished, i suggested to get the bill. But he stopped me, say still got last dish. I was like huh? Very full liao, still wanna order what? Then he took out a box from nowhere and placed it infront of me.


He told me this wasn't something i want the most but probably the second on the list. Frankly, i was VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY happy! It was a couple ring. My allergy toward the stainless steel was registed in his brain! And finally replace a new pair after like a year!


Here! Our new couple ring!! It was actually wedding bands from SooKee though.


I was really super happy. Kept smiling to myself as he managed to surprise me very well throughout the later part of the day.
