It's been almost a week since Twinkle fall sick. I tried to resist doing handfeeding. One of my friend who is a parrot hobbyist, scolded me for handfeeding him even when he can eat by himself. After such tramatising event, i became so so so paranoid that it made me feel like a newbie in parrot keeping. Haha. So i only fed once yesterday night since monday.
Ever since Twinkle got better, he has been very curious over the things happening around his hospital cage. I do let him out twice a day since the carrier is so small. I let each of my parrot out alone each time, just in case Dating bully Twinkle. Yesterday, i made an exception. And i guessed the two of them really missed each other very much.

Can you feel the love tonight?

Ever since they were friends, Twinkle is the only one doing the preening for Dating but now they seemed to trust each other. The cheeky Dating actually tried to use her leg to grab Twinkle's head and start the rubbing ritual! I saved Twinkle of course!
Kitchen weighing scale has always been a tool for weighing my feathered friends. But i prefered precision. The weight for twinkle has nv change even he became so skinny. I knew something was wrong. We made our way down to Phoon Huat to get a redman electronic weighing scale. And came home excitedly to weigh them. Dating is a fat parrot which i'm happy about. The scale showed 64.8g for her, an acceptable range. But for Twinkle, i was in total shocked!!! The kitchen scale has always been weighing 49g (acceptable is 50g to 55g) but this time it's not!!! It showed a 36.5g!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think twinkle is the skinnest lovebird i ever know. =( All my fault... really! I immediately went to boil egg. I know this son of mine always love warm food. So i feed the yolk to him warm, he ate quite a bit. After which, i fed him warm papaya smash. I need to make him fatter and healthier! This sunday, i am going to skip school to go goodwill. Think i going to spend quite a bit there. Who cares if Twinkle gets healthier?

I greatly recommend this scale to people keeping small birds. It is of an accuracy of 0.1g but only weigh a maximum of 200g. And the best is, it is affordable. $36.10, go get it! Oh, they also have 2kg and 5kg type.

Twinkle with full crop. Did you notice the round round tummy? It is not necessary for an adult bird to have a full crop.
Tonight is the review. I hope everything is fine. The tail bobbing is still there.
