My girl is generally guai except for her barking at guests in the house. She can bark bark bark and stop after a while. But any other slight movements from the guests will trigger her again. She would watch the guests as long as she wanted. No doubt she is a very good watchdog, protecting the house and all but such behaviour would scare off anyone! We won't condone such behaviour! Taking the advise of my trainer, we put her on choke chain and brought her in front of the guest. Once she barked, we checked her and brought her into the kitchen till she stopped. Then try again. THe whole process just kept repeating till i'm exhausted. I didn't see any improvement. I'm demoralised. I told Yida to do it. Was surprised to see her stop barking once yida check and bring her back to the kitchen. There wasn't any residual barking on the way to the kitchen unlike the time i was holding the lead. =( Yes, i was quite upset and disappointed since i am competitive. It was pretty obvious that Yida was doing a better job. However, the barkings only manage to simmer a tiny weeny bit but it was an improvement. We praised her like crazy!

My heart went out to her for doing the training for so long. She shook her body and yawned a few times. I knew they were signs of relieving stress. A human like me could get tired during the training, i cannot imagine for her. She was downright stubborn! And that just gave her more checkings! Sigh~~

Another call was made to my trainer this morning. The first time he asked was who held the lead during the training. Hai~~ i knew what was hidden in the question. =( He even added that my dog only comes to me for refuge and sayang. =( I really really hope the barking at guest would stop really soon. If not my heart will crack soon! Think i would give up the job on disciplining her since Yida do a better job. I should just bury my head into tricks book.
