Something struck me when i felt an itch on my hand. Bringing a bird from a birdshop requires quarantine!!! Argh!!! Slipped out of my mind.... i put the two cages side by side.... Both of them went to each other cage..... *worried*
I looked my hand under very bright lamp. and saw this small tiny thing crawling... IRK
First thing i did was to wash my arms clean. Then scrutinise Twinkle under the bright light!!! Phew!!~ Nothing (yet , touchwood!) Did the same to DaTing.... To my horror, i saw this small white flakes moving slowly in the feathers. Found two yday night. This morning, i check again... flip thru the feathers and saw a feather with yellowish eggs about 0.5mm... stuck near the sheath of the feather.............. diez......i'm real worried... poor DaTing... I will feel worse if buying Twinkle a friend actually makes him suffer.....
I'm in a dilemma.... Whether to buy the Vetafarm's Avian Insect Liquidator or bring them to vet. Bringing them to vet will require another person to help me handle Twinkle coz i dun wan to mix handle them. I borrowed my Uncle's lorry le. Yida wanna come down from NTU to fetch me there and go back... But really dun wan to trouble him!! Luckily my bro is kind enough to push back his gym time and fetch me down and help me handle the bird Thanks a million!!! So bring them to a vet will really buy me a peace of mind if not, how to study for my exams...... =(
Poor DaTing... not familiar with anything yet.. need to be isolated...she prob doesn't know what's happening.. All she knows is to get head rub from ppl..... Poor thing.....
Told a friend about this. He's like go back to the shop n ask them to be responsible! I'm like -_- My main concern is how to get rid not how to get back... It's true that those birds in the shop could be infested as well... tot of that i would nv wan to visit birdshop that often le... Then he said if the boss not doing anything abt it he will report AVA for me... I'm more -_- -_- -_- -_- -_-
Why?
Coz it's not helping the bird at all.......
*Let's hope Twinkle got nothing of the sort!
*Let's hope those irritating mites will be gone asap!
